Sunday I spent a few hours again on the farm in the same field as my last visit. Despite being there at first light only managed 5 Crows and 1 Jackdaw.. The first crow came into my pattern after good 3 hours although I missed that one.. then the rest came slow very slow. A couple of pics of scene.

Does anyone know if Corvids don’t like linseed..only asking as previously when farmers drilling with winter barley/Corn i usually get good numbers! Farmer did say he hasn’t planted linseed on this field before..

Early morning start as the Farmer had started drilling.. He’s sowing linseed in this field that would explain the low numbers of crows and Jackdaws. Struggled to harvest 9 Crows + 8 Jackdaws + 10 Magpies + 1 Woodpigeon Couldn’t find all the tally ..but nevertheless very happy with the magpies tally. Pictures of my set up and views from inside and outside showing the Camo mobile hide

Another very early start this morning was on farm and set by 6.25 a.m Got to same field as other day but a different corner using the fence posts to set up a crow and magpie decoy. Todays tally 14 Crows,7Jackdaws and 5 Magpies.they all came in to decoys no issues..missed a couple as the were to my extreme of firing arc and I probably canted the rifle.to be honest after 4 hours I packed up got very hot. Same set up as before,Heres the pictures of scene…

Decided to go out last night after Charlie. got to the farm around 10 p.m ish.. Saw 4 foxes but only 2 came to a safe shooting spot! First one was shot @ 107 yds as he just paused to a shout..unfortunately I wasn’t able to press record in time. Fox. no 2 came in the perfect ambush point @ 60 yds as that’s where the 1 st one I put as a decoy. You can see him sniffing and looking at him..giving me the perfect shot got him on video. As the farmer had started to plough one of the fields..I made a start at the crack of dawn, to get there and set up my mobile hide Toyota ( 4x4 ) camo netted. Set up 5 flocked full body crows and a magpie decoys at 30-35 yards. In no particular pattern but leaving a 3 yard gap between them, with a single the Magpie on sentry duty on a small metal spike. It started slow but ended up with 19 crows,5 Jackdaws,3 magpies and 1 wood pigeon. Spent a good 3.5 hours snipping them all ok. Here’s a few pics from inside my hide and the outside. I always leave the feather quarry out for the residents Red kites and Buzzards as farmer’s happy with this arrangement. It was a very satisfying morning session for me Tich
