RAW
Hi Folks, Has anyone put a Fortmeier Tactical Bipod on their Mcmillan A5 stock, reason why I ask is because I would need to have a spigot either drilled into the stock to fit the bipod or a rail screwed onto the stock which has a spigot attached, abit of an undertaking and a job for a proffesional as the stock is mint, the other option is an Atlas bipod. Reason for this is the rifle has a drone pro on and is very top heavy and been a couple of times when it has nearly toppled over, an expensive mistake if it comes off the roof a 4x4, the harris is not upto the job. Scotch_egg
The atlas will be just as stable or should that unstable as the Harris. I have a fortmeier on a Sako TRG. I have fitted an NVRS rail so I can mount the fortmeier pendulum style. I would recommend you do the same.
Danpd
Something like this can work. It uses the badger forward mounted NV rail.
palo
I have a phoenix bipod which is similar to the fortmeir on my sako trg. I also bought the versa-pod swivel stud adapter so I can use it on all my other rifles that have a front stud. It works very well and is very stable.
