6.5 Grendel Rem 700

This one is a bit different.

It's a Stainless Remington AR in 6.5 Grendel.

My client wanted something different and supplied me with a new Rem 700 and MDT Tac 21 chassis.

The main issue here being the PPC sized bolt face, but that was eventually gotten around by having a new bolt made.

John Carr was given the job of that, it's sized to the receiver, spiral fluted, fitted with a Sako extractor and Chrome Nitride finished.

Bolt knob is my own.

The barrel is a Pac-Nor 26" 1:8 twist, supplied by Neil McKillop and reprofiled and fluted by Mik Maksimovic

Brake is one of Tier Ones Tac brakes and the rifle was also supplied with a Spartan 3 sound Mod, finished in the same Tungsten Cerakote as the chassis.

The action is all squared and lapped and has a oversized recoil lug (strangely enough from someone who's on the naughty step and name is banned here!)

Furniture is Black Magpul UBR and MOE grip and the trigger is a Timney.

The rifle feeds well from the std AICS .308 mag, but there is a plan to try and fit a correct Grendel mag at some stage.
