Kroil

Kroil is a penetrating oil with wicking characteristics and a very fine molecular structure that allows it to get under the copper and carbon residue in your barrel and lift it off.

It has become popular because some Americans have praised its qualities in US shooting mags and forums etc

This then leads UK shooters to want to try it......but really it's no different to Plusgas, which has been available in the UK ever since I can remember

What is your thoughts and recommendation on using it Bradders? Does it also remove copper as well as I don't tend to remover copper, only after say like 500 rounds down the tube etc.

I have Plussgas, Aero Kroil readily available at work and was just considering using it or replacing it for carbon removal and lubricating purposes instead of buying the usual KG1 product.

Cheers for all your reply's.

I only have limited experience with it. I tried it and found it too messy, and it's best used in conjunction with other solvents....which have been specifically formulated to do the job.

But...if you have plenty and it's free, then why not

That said, this might be worth a read first though
