grahamfarmer
hi guys , just getting some time for a bit of load development and to play with my crony started with a few magtechs which wanted a excuse to use up running at average of 2831 with a es of 87 so not one hole stuff but certainly good enough for the job . then tried some homeloads of 44 grains of varget in a lapau case with a cci br primer which gave 2732 average with a es of 23 grouping was sub 1" but wind had got up so couldnt use result to form a oppion then tried some 44.5 grain loads which gave a 2779 average but a es of 56 all where 155 grain sierra matchking . the one difference was the 44 grain loads where once fired cases and neck sized with a lee die and the others where new cases run through a full lenght die but only to true necks .so my query is is it better to use once fired cases to try for the best accuracy and least difference in velocity . graham.
