Obviously it will be whisky heavy. We're taking one day to go to Inverness and see loch ness. If you are looking for good resteraunts Inverness has quite a few like Cafe1, Mustard Seed, Rockpool or Kitchen to name a few. You will find plenty to do as you stated a whisky fest sounds good. You could visit the Cairngorms and go up on the railway to the top of the ski resort and get some amazing views. If you fish it would be worth taking your rod.
