huntsman
Anyone use federal 140gr power shoks in 6.5x55? Only ask because the last few deer I have shot seem to have quite a bit of blood splash . Shot a good fallow doe yesterday longish shot 200+ yds took top of heart and lungs out, but clipped the off foreleg too , so there is obviously going to be some extra splash on this side . But the entry side of the chest had considerable splash too. I Have used this rifle /bullet combination for a number of years, but I do not recall this level of damage. Maybe federal are using a bullet of lighter construction ? Oh and the bullet passed straight through which is normally the case. Any suggestions?
