LONG RANGE CAPT
Hello, Would anyone have any experience with this bullet, Lapua 185gr MEGA and its use for hunting ? I have a load of Vit 140 and CCI BR primers and would be interested in what loads I would need to use to get this combination to shoot ? Kind Regards Rob
menial 1
.308 WIN, 30.06, 300 WIN MAG? N140 would maybe be a bit of a quick burner in any of the above, N150 or N160 would probably make for an easier life. If you're determined to try N140, a starting powder weight of around 38gr was where i got started with some 180gr RNSP Speer bullets a few years ago. Results where mediocre to tell the truth and never improved on 1.5 groups, although these were adequate for hunting I eventually settled on 125gr Nosler BT's and never looked back. This was in .308 WIN. Pete.
