njc110381
Hey guys. Soon I'm going to be in need of a set of .17 Ackley Hornet dies. What should I go for? I don't need them to be the best out there, they just need to work and be reasonably good value for money! I've been told I can case form with a seating die with the seater removed? So all I need is the full length and neck dies and a seater? What's out there? I don't suppose any of the every day makers do them so I'm into the land of the unknown! Any help you can give me would be much appreciated!
casts_by_fly
Mine are Redding. I bought them lightly used for $100. I have a FL and seater. Might want to check on saubier about dies. Not a ton of options for a standard press. Redding seems the favorite. Thanks, Rick
njc110381
Rick - thanks for that. It turns out there are two sets of Redding dies floating around where the rifle is coming from, so I've just bought those. I've got a forming set and a loading set for £80, which after searching the web for options seemed like a very good price!
