JohnGalway
My mate has an old single shot .22lr. Open sights, not set up to take bases or mounts to attach a scope. I am wondering if it would be possible for a smithy to drill and tap his rifle so we could put a scope on it? I don't know what model it is but it looks similar to >this< I know that's a photo of a Cooey, mate reckons his is a BSA, I didn't check the rifle So, with those stunningly accurate facts outlined, anyone got the answer if it can be drilled and tapped to accept mounts? JohnGalway
I don't think there was, but I'll have to check the rifle when I see him again.
Guest varmartin
It sure can be fitted with a scope base. My dad left me his BSA sportsman 15... And i reckon thats what your mate has, but a single shot. My local gun smith fitted a scope rail by tapping a couple holes in the action.
JohnGalway
There's definitely no rail on it, looked at it today, I'll try for a picture tomorrow. There's a channel in the top of the action, it's to let the bolt handle come out, pull the trigger and it comes out.
