auquhollie Posted September 19, 2009 Report Share Posted September 19, 2009 well it only seems two mins ago we were waiting on the roe rut and suddenly the reds aree kicking off. I have been on my ground over the past week and they are starting to roar. We have had a few stags off the ground in the past two weeks and things are starting to move around the ground. Mature stags holding hinds and taking up there rutting posts. I have taken to watching most of the ground from the landy on one of the neighbouring hills. Using a spotting scope and a window mount you can zoom up all the rides. Using this method we have spotted more than a dozen stags moving around marking and picking up hinds. Lets hope we can catch up with a few of the big lads that are coming in off the forestry ground that we neighbour. Ads Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
