Explosive Licence for Pyrodex

Recommended Posts

I've been made aware that Pyrodex has been reclassified as UN0499/UN0501 and therefore can only be sold to, and kept by, someone with the properly endorsed Explosives License.  I'm in the process of getting the codes added to my EL for black powder (UN0027/UN0028)

It is unclear as to whether its category as H3 has been changed to H1 so the need for special storage (as per black powder) is not yet clear.  I'm waiting on advice from our FEO in Staffs.

It's a pity that such changes get made without seemingly any attempt by the manufacturer or importer to advise RFD or consumers.
