Jinks Posted March 14, 2009 Report Share Posted March 14, 2009 Had a call from a local farmer yesterday afternoon who has been losing lambs every night. So I went to have a look last night. When I got to the farm it had started raining, the wind was howling and the fog was coming in . But to show willing, I thought I'd better have a look, so I parked the van, unloaded the kit from the back and flicked on the lamp towards the field behind the farmhouse, only to find a set of eyes looking straght back at me!!! So I rested the bipod on the roof of the van and sent a 52gn berger his way, to be followed by a sharp crack as the bullet hit home. In the short time I had been outdoors, the rain had allready fogged up the lens on the scope, so to go looking for more was out of the question, so I retreived the fox, which was a big dog, and went straight to the house to show the farmer. He was chuffed to say the least, and after a cup of tea he handed me £20 for my 'effort'!! £20 for a minute of work...I must be on the same pay scale as footballers Cheers, Jinks.
