Parker Hale TX1200 ( continued!!! )

Recommended Posts

Went out for some target shooting with the Parker Hale TX1200 this weekend!!!

Unfortunately our good mate Jamie could not make it due to work!!! :( :( :(

But Dave ( onehole ) and his son , and Martin ( varmartin ) could!!!!

we started off checking zero , Dave with his 6BR / Sako TRG 308 / his son with his RPA 223 and Martin with his Musgrave in 308 and his 6BR too!!!

All was shooting sweet with the boys :D , then it was my turn to check zero and groups , this is how it went!!!!

Martin said " do it again "

Shame i pulled one out!!!

We then moved out to 335yds , The wind was up and down a bit running from 5- 10 mph , Daves and martins rifles were shooting well :D

Then my turn again , guess what !!! - the wind dropped to nothing and this what happened.....

We then moved out to 500yds and had some fun , had a play on Daves TRG at 667 :D , then decided to have a play on the 770yd foot high granite!!!!

Got to say , i am over the moon with my rifle ................................

So glad Jamie talked me into buying one!! ( cheers dude :) )....

Was a fantastic day too catching up with like minded friends!!!! ;)

All the best.....................

Excellent shooting. :)

Once shot a parker hale sporter club gun years ago and it was terrible, sort of put me off the parker hale brand but just goes to show one gun doesn't make a manufacturer.

Serious looking tool with the chunky barrel.

Just a thanks to ray for inviting james amd myself along to do some long range practice last Saturday,it was a great day and been a long time since we had shot together.I really do appreciate it Ray and martin for getting me out there and taking my mind off some personal issues.Hope to do a lot more with you kind guys over coming months.I did some good groups with the TRG at 500 and this was probably the best with another two measuring about 50mm at 500.Varminter wasn,t satisfied and grabbed me gun and blew small stones to bits at some 660 yards in the next field with calculated ease.I have a little catching up to do but will get there soon. What people reading must realise when reading this is that long range hits take a lot of practice and getting to have a sixth sense for conditions as well as reading the charts etc and these guys have it to a fine art. Thanks again.Onehole.
