Tikka tac A1 Picatinny accessory rail removal

Hi all,

I am trying to remove the Picatinny accessory rail from a Tikka tac A1. It is the short piece at the base of the butt (for monopods etc) There are two screws, which I have successfully removed, but it won't budge. Now there looks to be a pin in the middle, is this some sort of arrestor pin? If so, how is it removed? Or is the Pic rail (which slides onto some dovetails) just really stiff?

One of those instances where I just don't know how much force to use

Thanks in advance

All sorted.

Thought it was on dovetails but was a trick of the eye.

Spotted a very small slot at the front, had to pry it off with a screwdriver. The arrestor pin is quite long and it was a ball ache.

Bag rider successfully fitted
