I'm looking to come over to UK on working holiday,looking for advice on how to go about getting Dairy farm job in UK. I have looked at farmers weekly website,any others people know of? Alycidon Posted February 5, 2009 Report Share Posted February 5, 2009 My closest shooting friend has a small dairy enterprise milking about 60 cows. His cows are loosing money though due to the milk price so he wont be looking for any help but he probably would not mind you having a look round and a chat over a beer. There are now less than 20 diary farmers in my county and the numbers decline further every year. Probably the best way for tempory work is at harvest time, I have an agricultural contractor locally that does employ extra hands June- October but you will need to be a handy tractor driver ( John Deere mainly) and prepared to work some very long hours.
