My friend shot a nice buck. Here is the photo of its head which he is going to have mounted. I am just going to injoy eating mine . http://s365.photobucket.com/albums/oo92/do...ent=CWDhead.jpg. I shot mine with the 220 swift at 245 metres and he shot his with a 6.5x55. Dogfox .
moses
Well done! You must be chuffed. CWD is on my to do list but, everybody I have contacted wants silly money for stalking them. Can I ask where you were able to to this? That buck sure looks like it might cost a few quid. ATB Moses
dogfox
Hi Moses I was chuffed . I was lucky in that I know of somebody who has a piece of ground that has CWD on it. It was pay back for a favour and it only cost us £50 for a drink for the farmer. Which I was very happy about. I do agree that if you want to shot a CWD it can cost a lot of money. I am not intrested in shooting heads and am looking forward to eating it. Dogfox
moses
Hi DF, Thanks for the reply. You are indeed a lucky swine, my problem is I don't know enough farmers! CWD is good eating, I was given a fillet by a friend once and it was truely delicious, enjoy! ATB Moses

What town is near the area you are thinking of? Or are you confusing with Sika? Rgds Ian
