First CWD

Here is a photo of my first chinese water deer.

I have now shot all six deer species in the uk.

 

My friend shot a nice buck. Here is the photo of its head which he is going to have mounted. I am just going to injoy eating mine :wub: .

I shot mine with the 220 swift at 245 metres and he shot his with a 6.5x55.

Well done! You must be chuffed.

 

CWD is on my to do list but, everybody I have contacted wants silly money for stalking them.

 

Can I ask where you were able to to this?

 

That buck sure looks like it might cost a few quid.

I was chuffed :wub: .

 

I was lucky in that I know of somebody who has a piece of ground that has CWD on it. It was pay back for a favour and it only cost us £50 for a drink for the farmer. Which I was very happy about. I do agree that if you want to shot a CWD it can cost a lot of money.

 

I am not intrested in shooting heads and am looking forward to eating it.

Ni9ce one Dogfox,he is a good looker isn't he,I have beeen invited down to Dorset to have a pop at a Chinkie myself,and,I can't wait,but,it means I need to be able to drive,and,I am still waiting for the 'Field of Vision' test from the DVLA. Well done though mate,and,hopefully it won't be the last.....................martin.

Hi Foxhunter

 

I have done a UK wildboar. I just need to do a goat :rolleyes: . I have been out this afternoon and manage to get a fallow. So that is a CWD,roe and a fallow in the same week. All i need now is a muntjac.

Didn't realise there was a population in Dorset! What town is near the area you are thinking of?

 

Or are you confusing with Sika?
