Well i went and bought a Sako 75 stainless synth .243AI from guntrader!

Loaded up numerous loads. different powder weight and different lengths to try! all with 87gr Vmax's

I had forgot to load some fouling shot bullets so just decided to pic 43gr of imr4350 powder and seated thenm to 2.655". made 10 up just so i could get onto target and semi zero'd without wasting my test loads. this was at 4.45am on the morning! it so happened that these were the middle of the row of test ammo too.

Once i got onto target and semi zero'd i thought i would see how well they performed at 100yrds. bearing in mind i was fireforming cases as i went! Well the first proper group was nye on hole on hole! 1/4" i thought i had missed badly! but i had noticed that the hole had got slightly larger! Well we went onto 200yards and the same again 1/4"-1/2" i was so amased that my first load which also happened to be my fouling shot load was so accurate! This is a standard sako 75 .243 S/S. all that has been done was the previous owner wanted it as an AI so had the barrel re-chambered! he sold it because it wasnt as accurate as he had wanted! i can only guess that he didnt try the load that i did! Also the other loads were still well under 1" @100yrds! and thats 1gr either side and seated at 60odd thou longer!

I also got to shoot my .223 RPA properly too. i had taken it out foxing but i could give it a real good test at bisley! Well to say that i shot a .201" (.425 outside to outside) @ 200yrds is phenominal.

Can you guess i was extremely happy and went home with a very large hardon! lol
