ChrisF Posted April 30, 2016 Report Share Posted April 30, 2016 Hi Guys, Just seent the new QD locking can , that mounts over a hardened SS flash hider or brake , looks real nice , if you go to Oceania Defence Ltd website there are pics of the flash hider , photos of the can should be later . The can slips on & looks like it turns about 1.5 revs , and then its stopped from coming OFF un intentionally by a rachet locking mech , looks very quick in the vid , on & off .The can is 3D printed TI , then heat treated , maybe just like the turbine blades for passenger jets . So in short it seems the perfect setup for a light weight rifle , ie like the new RPR or my old school PH M85 , I will buy a couple of brakes & one can at this stage to run on the two mentioned rifles . ChrisF Posted May 5, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 5, 2016 some specs for it are , flash hider or brake , 3/4-24 & 5/8-24 for 7.62 , & 1/2-28 for 5.56 , oal is 189mm , dia 38.5 , wt is 170gm , the weight for the brake is 82gms , the flash hider is lighter than that .
