Landyrattle
As a newbie I would appreciate some help in setting my expectations - if I have an AR in .223 Wylde built by one of the respected 'smiths whose work regularly appears on this forum, what sort of precision could I reasonable expect from it, both with factory ammunition and developed handloads (MOA)? I'm hoping to be shooting at ranges up to 600m. Thanks.
MrCetrizine
You're obviously limited a little by magazine length but I've seen ARs built by both Bradders and Baldie comfortably hold .5 MOA with 77gn SMK/TMK and hold MOA or better with milsurp. What barrel length is it as that will affect you accuracy at distance.

Landyrattle
Many thanks for the feedback, like many others I guess my budget will only run to one rifle and I had been assuming that for precision it would need to be a bolt action, clearly I was wrong!
