Mauser3006 Posted November 4, 2015 Author Report Share Posted November 4, 2015 National Grid asks for more power generation for this evening: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-34723259 The built in redundancy of the National Grid (i.e. how much more electricity over demand it can produce) has been closing for years and is now at its lowest level for 7 years. With an aging Power Statio Network, many are talking about more frequent blackouts to come. Hence the Chancellor's overtures to the Chinese earlier this month.
