Tiff
This forthcoming weekend, The British Deer Society (South West England Branch) are holding their annual range weekend at Roundhouse Firearms Training. For six consecutive years the BDS have shot at ‘The Roundhouse’ and this years shoot promises to be the most challenging and informative yet. Each day the 100 yard range will be open for zeroing, practice and load development. The branch will also be holding their annual Stalkers’ Shoot, which will run concurrently both days and challenge the shooter against a selection of varied targets out to 300 yards. It is a great opportunity to meet local fellow deer stalkers and converse about our common interest. Firing times are 10:00 - 16:00 Saturday 22nd August and the same on Sunday. There will also be a venison barbecue around 16:00 on Saturday and the fee is £15 per day or £20 for non BDS members. For directions etc. please send me a private message or contact the BDS SW Branch Chairman. I look forward to meeting you at the weekend, Tiff N.B. The weather forecast is unfortunately looking rather poor, so please dress appropriately for open hill stalking at the height of summer…
Tiff
This was a very enjoyable event, spent in the company of like minded individuals exhibiting some excellent safe shooting. As can be seen, the event was unfortunately a victim of the weather forecast, rather than the weather! However those individuals that ignored the weekend forecast and attended were pleasantly rewarded with a varied selection of targets, light winds, sunshine and a venison steak barbecue... There will be a full writeup to follow in the autumn edition of the BDS Deer journal. For pictures of the weekend, please see the album here:https://www.facebook.com/roundhousefirearmstrainingMany thanks,Tiff
