CliveWard Posted April 11, 2015 Report Share Posted April 11, 2015 Hi Mark, I'm not 100% but I believe it's pressed and pinned. On my HW66 in .22 Hornet when I wanted it cut very short my smith tried to get the barrel off to fit it in the small lathe and 2 pins were knocked out and a big hammer and brass drift wouldn't budge it from the action, so the pins were put back in and it was shortened and threaded on a lathe with a bigger headstock to accept the whole action.
