nuttyspaniel
After last weeks problems with the my 25-06 Ive decided to dring forward plans to change my loads. It was always on my mind to change primers and heads to what I can get easiest for me. Now primers Im not sure to what bushwear stocks but I think it is either cci or federal. But powder he has vit, imr and most hodgdons in! I am settling on trying 2, h4831 and h4350! But in my data for 100grn and 120grn bullets the 4831 has higher velocties with slightly higher pressures using a tad more powder than the 4350, now I realise for the best accuracy most times the slower speed is perhaps the better option. How would you chose without having to buy to try? What would you look at before comitting to your choice?
eldon
You could ask someone with quickload to run it for you. You want max speed for least pressure, at least thats what I found. I would do it for you but my disc has gone haywire and won't work now.
Guest varmartin
Ran it in Q.Load... H4831 gives higher velocity for lower pressure using 120 grain bullets. H4350 gives higher velocity for lower pressure using 100 grain bullets. ?????? are you going to use 100 or 120 grain bullets :)
nuttyspaniel
Varmatin 100grn for Roe, foxes and hinds and 120grn for stags!
Guest varmartin
I would work up a good load with the 120`s and use that load for every thing. One zero , one ballistic drop table.....no complications.
nuttyspaniel
Varmartin I am seriously thinking doing that now. Saves alot of hassle!!! And as a friend said you get no change out of dead!!
6mmBR
I have to agree with Martin get one load to do both jobs. It saves a lot of messing around. Cheers Dave
