OIR 6x24x50 reticle question

just purchased a OIR 6x24x50 and it has the mp8 dot reticle, my question is- is the reticle set in mils and does it mil at a certain mag, there is a circle around the 12mag so this would make sense, cheers

I have the 2-12 x36 with the mp8 reticle and that is mils at 10x (circled)

I would say yours is mils at 12 x and 1/2 mils at 24

You don't say if it's new or second hand

They come in both First Focal Plane and Second Focal Plane.

Tells you on the turret what they are ie 1 click = 1 moa / mrad The highlighted number on the will be 1 x 1 (the lower magnification) or 1/2 x 1 a higher magnification.

I have a 3-18 mp8 and a 12-52 mp8 extreme. I must say the mp8 extreme I much prefer.

Am actually considering the 4-28x50 FFP MIL/MIL with the SHx1-68 ret'

once I get all my rifles to picatiney rails which isn't far away Just the styer to sort out.
