I'm looking for just that mod. Need to check with gunsmith tomorrow on whether my rifle has enough meat at the muzzle for a M14 thread. he was planning a 1/2 UNF although they are pretty close in diameter.

Sorry to have wasted your time. My gunsmith has his lathe set up for imperial threads and whilst he would happily change the setup for metric he would charge me for the privileged which in the end puts the cost of the job uop to the same price as a new one on an imperial thread.

 

Real shame, but i am no longer interested.
