jay666d
After my last post, I decided to take heed and improve my back stop. I couldn't call this particular post 'Long Range Shooting' for two reasons... One, because its not, I only went back to 500 yrds and two, because even if I did get into the long range bracket, it would seem a bit cheeky compared to some of the long range shooting I've seen in the last few posts! The day started out strong, on the way to our chosen shooting positions we came across a group of sitting Hares. Ranged them at 155 yrds. using my .17HMR T-Bolt, I got these four in 20 seconds. Using the same rifle as my last 'Long Distance' shoot, (Remington 700 Police, 26" Heavy Barrel with 1/9 twist) I zeroed at 100 Yrds (New Scope) and moved back from there... The two pictures are 350 yrds and 500 yrds. 350 500 I'm really pleased with the way this rifle is shooting, using standard factory ammo and hitting out to 500 yrds with relative ease... I will soon move into the world of reloading! (I'm sure I'll post on here for help at some point!) Jay
