PaulC Posted March 28, 2014 Report Share Posted March 28, 2014 Hi all I have a couple of hundred 178g A maxes, and was wondering if anyone has a load data ideas I currently us 155 grain scenars with vit 140 out too 1000 yards I am using a 29 inch 1 in 12 barrel .308 and I can't source varget to easily. gbal Posted March 28, 2014 Report Share Posted March 28, 2014 Paul,google Vihtavuori reloading data 2013 This has V loads for 175g,and includes V140powder.Should be a good starting/and probably finishing point. PaulC Posted March 28, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 28, 2014 Thanks for the info gents I shall try some loads with the n140 and keep about 3 grains below my 155g load which is 45.5 grains Of n140 giving me just over 3000 fps I no most people use n150 for heavier loads thanks again. I heard that the best choice of speed 2460 2600 2780 2950fps. N150 is slower than the N140, and it is for the heavy bullets. Needs a good starting load.
