Swamp Donkey Posted February 6, 2014 Report Share Posted February 6, 2014 From what I gather, they slide onto the tapered dovetail, and a tap from a mallet etc fits them nice and tight on the taper, you'll have to change your optilock bases for weaver/piccatinny ones on your day scope though. The other alternative is to get a good 'smith to drill and tap the receiver for a rail, which is what I'm getting done to my 591, as I'd prefer a one piece rail. Sakos tapered rail is a pita to get 'goodies' for Honestly, your best option is a smith to fit a rail, I've been looking for other (cheaper) options for years to no avail Pete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
