dorsetveni
I have my first CF rifle all sat in the cabinet waiting to get used (sako .308). The trouble is I need to fit a scope. My intention is to use the rifle mainly as a hunting rifle but also for days at bisley. I quite fancy the long range target days. Now I am sure that it is better not to use one scope/rifle for both scenarios, though unfortunately anything other than 1 scope and rifle is not an option right now. So I have been looking around and have seen the Leupold VX-R 3-9x50 CDS . I have to say I quite like the look of them and they are in my price range. In particular I would like the illuminated reticule and if possible the custom ballistic turrets that these offer. My question is about parallax. The Leupold VRX has no parallax adjustments. Without the parallax adjustment will this scope be suitable to use on the longer range stuff, say 400 - 800 meters?
sako 75 .243
I think a little more mag would be useful at the ranges you are talking about, go for the 6.5-25x50 if you can afford it.
