happyhunter
Bit more mag wouldn't be a bad thing, varminting? paper punching? plinking? Zeiss conquest 6.5-20x50 very good scope for the money if you can find one. How much you looking to spend?
Chris-NZ
It's a .223 so max range on varmints will be 350 if you're very lucky. I have a 4-16 Monarch on my gen purpose .223 and it's got quite adequate magnification. Dials reliably. Can't comment on the Bushnell but its little brother seems to dial OK on my "sniper rimfire"
Jagged 77
I've got a couple of the 6500 Tactical Bushnells, the glass will be similar in the 2.5-16 I'm sure. I've been using one on my .308 out to 1000 yards (lots of dialling up and down the elevation) and its been spot on. Glass is good - not as good as the Sightron's or Nightforce's I own but still very good.

NellyT
Hi tack, I do like the look of the vortex range, but I don't know anyone with one..are thay that good?? I owned the Bushnell, when up at x16 the eye relief is tricky, I didn't get on with it and sold it, got Zeiss Conquest 6.5 - 20 x 50. I don't shoot at the ranges you are talking about, I believe the Zeiss does not have too much elevation when you are dialing in, other than that great scope for the money.
