TET DBM and Mcmillan Remington Hunter

Recommended Posts

Im just sorting out the inlet for the Third Eye Tactical DBM on a Remington hunter and looked at the pillars supplied with the kit. If I use those pillars either the trigger guard will be sitting proud or the action wont sit in the inlet okay...

Anyone any ideas?

Don't cut the pillars. The DBM has to sit at the correct height in order to function correctly. In some stocks this means the bottom metal will be proud of the inlet.

Simple way to check is to attach the bottom metal to the barreled action out of the stock with the pillars sandwiched between the two, you should have around 1/16" clearance between the top of the mag lips and the bolt, if this is correct, then that's where it needs to be to function correctly.
