gbal
hy guys any body know what the standard thread size is for the silencer on a remy barrel, cheers simon... There is no "standard": 5/8 unf would be common on varmint barrels,or the metric equivalent, maybe 17:1 5/8 would be better than 1/2 unfon the varminter, though !/2 would be more likely on a 223 normal barrel.... sonic
I would think 1/2" 20 it's common on standard barrel but it could be one of many sizes. is it brand new?

sonic
I'd think 5/8 on that profile. american rifles seem to be 1/2" 20 or 28 standard 5/8" varmint profile. if you have calipers it's .6250" for the 5/8" 18tpi
gbal
A 1/2 inch does not leave very much barrel thickness on eg a 308 5/8 makes much more sense on a heavier profile barrel.1/2 are fine for 223 etc sporter profile.
matchking
VSSF rifles are all 5/8x18 factory screw cut. Sporters are 1/2" unf Cheers Sean
