JohnGalway
(If there's a specific section for lamps, please move this ). There's a mouth full of an awkward title. So I took the plunge before Christmas after a fairly in depth conversation with an Australian seller on Ebay. He assured me this kit would increase brightness and visible distance over a 100w halogen, and only draw 1/3rd of the power. What's not to like? We had a long chat about colour temperature and settled on 4300k (for kelvins and not thousand). I've had it out in anger tonight and it gives a light colour pretty much just like you'd get from a halogen light. Now, I do have another 170 Striker and a 100w bulb, but I've not compared them directly yet as I need to rescue that other light from my indoor landfill (shed). Bad point, you cannot dim a HID. Meh, use the halo or a filter.
