Remington SPS in 280 Rem

Recommended Posts

Chambered in 280 Rem, American version of the 7x64. It's based on the 30-06 case, slightly lengthened and necked down to 7mm (.284)

24" barrel.

Comes with bases and 30mm rings

Sling studs.

Remington paperwork.

Plenty of punch, good stalking hill/mountain rifle. Wide range of bullets available, but no factory ammo generally available so it would suit a reloader.

The rifle will come with RCBS reloading dies, Lee dies also if you want them.

There will also be a bunch of once or twice fired Remington brass.

If face to face i have also got H4831 powder to reload with, some heads for you to try and primers etc.

All you need to get it shooting if you have existing reloading gear.

Shoots just under 1" groups at 100 yards with 175 SGK's but I think it'll shoot better with a 120-150 gr bullet. I've not put much time into load development but I'm sure it'll respond well to a bit of development.

No mod, it's loud I'm not going to lie and you know when you have fired it a few times.

Minor bumps and scratches to finish but it's a used tool, not a show piece.

All this above posted to your RFD for £350

Pictures on request.

Open to offers. Needs to go!! Good donor action

Would prefer to sell rifle/dies/rings/bases/brass as one lot but can split if need be.

Bought it through the BBS a while ago.

Thanks

Marcus.
