TonyH
I saw this when it appeared on Ebay a few days ago, and was tempted myself but can't really justify swapping my rather good Steiner 8x56. So because I'm such a nice guy I notify UKV shooters that if you want a really good binocular, maybe (if you're lucky) for a fraction of the price you'd pay for Leica/Swaro/Zeiss etc, check out Ebay item #221120349509, an as-new Fujinon FMTRSX 7x50. Optically (maybe build quality too) it's as good as the posh brands I just mentioned. It has four days to go, starting price £200, still no bid... Fujinon pro camera lenses are world class, at least as good as Zeiss, Schneider, Rodenstock - pre-digital I used Fujinon optics myself. I am acquainted with this binocular too - it's one of the most impressive I've ever used, like looking into a big brightly lit room... Some folk think really high-mag binoculars are best but IME a really good 7x or 8x is perfect: I'd very happily use this Fujinon for varmint hunting indefinitely. Recommended!
