old rifle identification bsa ???

my farmer is giving up his FAC and has an old .22 (he's had it 40 years and his dad had it before him!)its a repeater which is cocked and loaded by pulling the trigger guard down and to load the bullets a rod is removed from the back of the stock and then the rounds are inserted through a slot on both sides of the stock.the only number i could find through the rust was T12062.the barrel and forend are removed by lifting a lever on the reciever and out it slides . i can't get the picture to upload for some reason :huh: any info regards model age and value would be greatly appreciated
