furniss480
Hi again, I bought a hw66 recently and I am chuffed with it in general. The barrel though is a bit long esp when the mod is on - would it be poss to order a new one/shorter and screwcut and have it exported to me in France ??? I have my permit of course. Also would a non gunsmith be able to swop over a barrel on a Wiehrauch hw66 or is it a job that needs some expertise ? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance Hi Furniss, The cost of getting a firearm part exported to France legally (licensing, carriage etc.) by an approved carrier would be around £300. By far and away the best option is to find someone locally who can shorten and thread your existing barrel. It is unfortunate that it is far easier and less expensive to move firearms and components from Europe to the UK than vice versa, Alan
