foxhunter
Went out the other night to a smallholding hopeful to find a fox that the farmer had seen at lunchtime in front of his house. My mate who is an exceptional shot took his rifle and I was the lamp man. I prefer lamping just as much as shooting. Anyway on entering a field opposite some gorse I called for a good 5 mins before a fox appeared in the top corner of the field , the fox wouldnt come in so my mate decided to take it from where we were. Anyway he asked "HOW FAR " I said at least 250 yards "no problem " anyway he shot a vixen and I paced it out at 272 paces. We then headed back to the farm and I spotted another fox behind a hedge , this time I gave it a squeak and it came in to about 90 yards .....................58 gr v-max re-arranged its face .............
