22/250 foxer
Evening guys how many of you have the above calibre and how you rate it? Most of the rifles i have seen in this calibre are 1in 8 twist. I take it for the heavier range of bullets for longer range shooting. What twist would let you shoot up to 100 grain bullets a 1 in 10 twist maybe? I did try look it up. But most of the info was for heavier bullets. Im looking for bullets like 70 the grain blizkings or nostler Or 75 vmax. What sort of fps speed could you ring out of a 70 - 75 grain bullet ? Would the 6x47 offer much more then a standard 243 ? I know it prob has the accuracy over one but fps speed around the same? I take it the 6x47 uses less powder to? Standard 6mm rem looks good also but dont see many people using them here. Anyway look forward to hearing what you guys think ok them Atb jamie

Glenn
I have a custom 6x47L with a 1in12 twist barrel. I run 67 grain projectiles. I have a mate with the same calibre who runs 75gr V-Max's Ran it over a chrony and the speed was 3750fps! Same load as a 243 with a lot more speed! I have shot my gun along side a 243 and the extra speed is noticeable! Glenn
