Double bubble!!!!

Well , I had a crap day at work and thought i would have my tea in my jeep at one of my favorite vantage points!!

So i set up my 6PPC on the bonnet ready to go if anything shows!!!DSCF1478.jpg

First up a bunnie shows at 324yds , so dial in corrections and connected!!!

Then as i finished me tea 2 magpies showed up in the field at 328yds , so dialed in for range and wind ( 5mph ) but the magpie would not give me a side on shot so had a crack anyway!! Shot hit just above his back!!

Later on in the evening got on to some crows and noticed 2 of them was close together!!

So i ranged them at 282yds , dialed in and waited , after a couple of minutes one of them stood in front of the other so i touched the round off to be greeted by the sound of ...... whizzzzz -- pop - pop!! and a explosion of feathers!!!DSCF1479.jpg

Well chuffed because i have had double bunnies before with my centrefires but this is my first double crows!!! DSCF1480.jpg

A very memorable evening , just the thing to finish off the day!!!!!

All the best.................

Thanks foxshot and millpool........ :D:lol:

Foxshot , yes i do do shoot under 200yds but i am very fortunate to be able to shoot out further if i want to on my permissions , but i must say i am a very lucky boy to have such good varminting buddies ( like yourselfs ) here in cornwall so i get to enjoy some long range varminting in very good company!!!

But i got to say i love my 6PPC out to the 450yds mark in favourable conditions!!!

Good luck buddy on getting your 300yder and i am sure if you wanted to come down to cornwall the cornish guys would soon welcome you !!!:P

All the very best....................

2 for 1 sales are always nice....

Last time I had a chance was with some deer...

But held off to long and they got spooked so

I had to settle for a nubby buck.

Meat is meat.

Nice Shooting Ray

As always guys , thanks for the replies!!! :D;)

I am very fortunate that most of the farms i am able to shoot are 5 - 10 minute drives from home!!!

As for two for one shots i have had some double bunnies before with the most memorable being two occasions when the bunnies was in the mist of some serious loving!!! ( YES I KNOW I WAS ONLY JEALOUS!!! ;) ;) )..... And i am sure onehole and varmartin sure remember too!!!!!! ;)

Have a good weekend fellas...................

Jeez Ray..

You could have at least let the bunny get a nut... ;)

One friends brother took a spike buck "outta the saddle"

one year...but he only went for the buck.

Another friend got a double with his .243Win....It was a "T" zone

hunt,or "antlerless only" and he didnt see the smaller younger doe

feeding behind the larger older doe...He was sick for days after

and felt really bad about droppin a "puppy dog"...He had tags for both deer

so that wasnt the problem...it was just that the puppy dog was only just

birthed in the spring and was only about 6-7 months old.
