Got a second hand one yesterday and went out for a play this morning 1 pigeon 1 magpie 1 squirrel and a vixen.

 

I tried various cartridges it does not seem to like gamebore 32 oz much they seem to not quite get ejected. I had some old Baikal’s that it loved only problem none left now.

Has anyone got any advice on what type of cartridge works well with this gun?

Mine cycled everything from 24 grams up to 32 grams without a problem, for the money they're fantastic guns. The last time I used mine was to shoot rats as they escaped out of a rubbish pile that was being pulled apart to be burnt, I found a 12 bore to be more than enough for rats, it made the close ones look like brown jam.

Mine tends to just like anything on the heavier side. Doesnt often agree with cartridges lighter than 28grams but not a problem as i dont use any! Ive shot everything up to 42gram cartridges which it handled just fine. Very comfortable to shoot and a great little gun for the money.
