Jon2
Dear all I have a question and as this (IMO) is a top long range site, I was wondering how everyone veryfies their drop chart? Having used Ballistic FTE, Exbal and JBM Ballistics, I am wondering how accurate this information is? What I normally do is take a backing board out to 500 yards (zero my rifle at 100 yards)and actually measure the drop in inches (assuming dial up graduations are in MOA and accurate) and then adjust the BC accordingly to produce an "in sync" chart. Other experienced long range shooters I have talked to adjust the MV. Bearing in mind all data is sound as in humidity, altitude, temp etc etc etc what is your prefered method? Some of my fellow shooters simply use the ballistics software and that is enough but I haven't been so lucky, hence my question. Any info, as ever, gratefully recieved. Thanks JB
Orka Akinse
Plenty of people on here more qualified than me to answer but I always shoot at each range increment to confirm then adjust. Most Bal S/ware will get you there or there abouts but true accuracy takes range time and effort.
