6br load tweaks

Went out today for the 3rd time with my new 6br tubed rifle to see if i could get a little more velocity with my 55g nosler load & still maintain acurracy!

 

Now this rifle has a 1-8 twist barrel with a .74 free bore so the little 55s are mo where near the lands!

 

65g vmax will reach the lands with ease but the speed i can get is a lot slower & the bc is nigh on the same!(55g .276 65g vamx .280)

 

in fact the little 55g noslers bc is the same as a 68g berger!

 

nigh on 3800fps now altho i think ill use the slightly slower load!

 

i also had some 105g amaxs made up from last week wich are a bit slow so i thoght id shoot a few up

 

all groups were shoot @ 200yds of a bipod & bag & a bench

 

i made a couple of mess ups where i fired the 3rd shot of the group at the dot under the original aim point!(duh! to many dots lol)

 

i measured the groups on site as i had my calipers with me to adjsut coal of the 105 g load as i was trying 10tho in against 10 tho off!altho theres not a lot in it really!i havent subtracted .243 from the measurent!

 

 

 

 

anyway looking forward to getting some faster powder & trying the amaxs in some cases that have been formed in my chamber!
