Yes it works well no issues with it .
Cheers Pat.
I’ve picked up some Bore Tech Friction Guard XP oil too. Is there anything else you use for cleaning?

Afternoon all
I bit the bullet and bought Bore Tech Eliminator. Any experiences with that? I posted on another Facebook group and received 8/10 replies recommending this!

Gentlemen thanks for the comprehensive replies. Very useful indeed! I’ve heard so many conflicting things online and after purchasing my rifle have been told conflicting things locally too!

Evening all
I’m 2 months into owning a brand new TIKKA TAC A1. I’ve been cleaning after each use BUT I feel as though I should be doing something else in my cleaning routine:
SHOOT!
Straight home to clean
1) Run several dry patches through the barrel with bore guide using Tipton carbon rod
2) Onto Tetra Gun copper remover, one/two patches pushed through wet3) New bronze brush to agitate
4) Push 10+ dry patches through5) One/two patches of Parker Hale 009
6) Push 10+ dry patches through barrel
7) One slightly wet patch of 009 to lubricate the barrel when stored
8) Long stock cotton bud with a bit of 009 on to clean around crown and inside muzzle brake
9) Copper remover on cotton bud in and around the bore to remove copper fouling
10) General wipe over rifle
How does this cleaning routine compare to others? Should I be doing more or using alternate solvents? I’ve been recommend ‘Bore Tech’
Cheers

IMHO if you worried about the cost you may as well buy S&B at somewhere around 85p each, and reloading for the exotica.
There was no mention about ‘worrying of cost’.
I’m intrigued to see what sort of costings people were coming out with on varying ammunition for different applications.
As the post suggested, I’m new to reloading.

+1 on SchmidtP3.
Assuming you have the press etc?
I don't reload for my 6.5CM. I just use it for plinking. It's not my go-to rifle
I do reload my other calibers because of accuracy and I actually enjoy the process. I will reload my WSM as cant get decent factory ammo for it.
If it helps - there is even an app HandLoad2 made by RangeTimeApps that will help you calculate it. Stick your wish list prices, the assumption for brass reuse, and away you go. Just don't show to the other half the result.
SWMBO still thinks my 308 costs 10p a round
Mike
Cheers Mike I’ll check out that app now. Very useful

Morning all
Im just about to take the plunge and begin home loading 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition.
I wondered what sort of costings per round people have got this down to?
Thanks in advance -

Hi MrCetrizine
Hope you’re well? I’m in the market for a mod for my 6.5. I’ve seen the evolve at my local RFD and thought it looked pretty good.
How’re you getting on with it?
cheers

Big fan of tactical looking rifles, think this has stemmed from a history working with them. Over the past 5 years I’ve become massively into the Omega brand. So much so I’ve treated myself to the 25th Anniversary 300M......does anyone else share my love?

I’ve bought a few things from him and service has always been good. I’m awaiting a sole screw now and that’s been 2+ weeks. I’m thinking it’s a genuine thing.
