Neck tension is a sensitive topic. My experience with slow burning powders is that more is better. But it’s a case of what works for your rounds is key. I don’t go with anyone’s comments without testing for myself.

Hi all. Again I have an another lenzi rear bag and doughnut for sale. Doughnut is discoloured but fully functional. Rear bag has very little use and is made for 19mm (3/4”) stock. Buyer pays postage as it’s heavy as filled with zircon sand. I have made a riser which is in the sale if wanted. I’m asking £200 as cost nearly £300 when new.

If I was you GJD I would take up Elwoods offer if you’re serious. He saw me through my training and is one of he top shooters in Europe and shot in world championships in F open. Mega experienced and nice guy. You would learn lots from a top f class contender 👍

@No i deer - interesting and helpful reports with photos. Do you find with the shorter barrel that N160, being a tad faster, is a better alternative than the slower burning powders?
@Pat Allen Many thanks for that. I assume you are getting the accuracy, despite Brillo’s experience? What barrel length, twist and bullet are you shooting if you don’t mind me asking?
Thanks all!
30 inch barrel . 1 in 8 with 280 g hybrids. See target 7. That was 10 shots at 100 mtrs so not bad. Need to tune seating depth though.

I use RS70 in my 284. Good velocity without pushing the brass. I get sane velocity as N160 with 6000 psi less so should improve brass life 👍

Barnard P
Borden BRXMD
both solid and dependable actions - the barnard triggers which come with the action are very good
The Borden are nicer aesthetically
Both would serve you well
Agree with the Barnard ! Very sturdy and easy to clean . ONE issue with them though , you need to clean asap if they get damp as bolt will rust quickly otherwise bombproof !

I would be interested in the Robertson stock if you were to split.

Batch number will help Pat, this powder varies a lot.
Hi Ian. I have someone interested but I will post it tomorrow in case it falls through.

Tbh I would stick with Lapua brass over Hornady or Starline. Also with creed keep to small primers as it lasts much longer. Annealing will help with life. I have Lap cases that have 20 odd firings and are still as good as new, but then again I do anneal after each firing.,

Dan . Short action customs comparator sets are excellent . Calibre specific though as datum’s off the shoulder angle . Really consistent measurements 👍
