I think you need to ask the vendor to measure the twist of your specific rifle with a cleaning rod. How else can you be sure of the twist given the age of this rifle?

    JCS

Thank you....I will do it myself when I eventually get the rifle but as it has it's original heavy hammer forged barrel I though I'd ask......👍

  2. Morning.....I ordered my V4 here in the U.K. from a guy called John Mason of Hammer-Pair Performance Ltd. https://www.hammer-pair.com

    email: sales@hammer-pair.com

He was very helpful & I would thoroughly recommend him.....

I ordered the scales from OakleyWeigh....https://www.oakleyweigh.co.uk/categories/laboratory-scales/general-purpose-balances/product/a-d-fx-120i-grain-balance-1880-x-0-02gn

Also very good to deal with, very helpful people all round....

This combo is a fantastic bit of kit, not cheap but worth it imo.

    Hope that helps.....

  3. Morning All.....

Pending a variation I have just agreed to buy a 7.62 Lee Enfield Envoy for target shooting at/out to 1000yds. It has it's original heavy hammer forged barrel but I cannot find anywhere online that gives the twist rate, as I don't actually have the rifle yet is there anyone out there who can oblige? Once I have the rifle I will do some load development for it but in the meantime if there are any enthusiasts who reload for one of these rifles I would be interested on your thoughts as to what bullet weight, powders & loads you use.

Any info would be of interest!

    Thank you.

  4. RCBS ChargeMaster 1500 Scale and ChargeMaster Powder Dispenser Combo. It has had light to medium use & I bought it new about 5 years ago, it is in excellent condition save for a small crack at the top of the perspex hopper & lid  so does not affect the unit in any way at all. TBH it's hardly worth a mention but in order to be totally honest about it's condition it's right to do so.........All in all It's a very accurate & reliable unit & never missed a beat. U.K. spec plug etc.

Although I have reduced the price I genuinely meant to post the price at £325 from the start, call it a senior moment if you must.......😂😂😂

£325 o.n.o. plus postage at cost

    NOW SOLD

  5. Hi All....
I've just paid a visit to Jim Spalding on Mersea Island near Colchester in Essex to have a KickEasy pad fitted to my new shotgun. Because I had driven a fair way he did the job while I waited. A more pleasant way to spend an hour or so I could not imagine. He is the most pleasant, charming guy you could wish to meet & to see a craftsmen like him at work was a treat, he made a fantastic job of it & at more than a reasonable price. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing stock work of any kind.
If you do get time to browse this forum then thank you Jim......
