  1. Many thanks for that - pretty much what I expected.

Played airsoft for about 10 years so used to snap shooting, and had a go at McQueens before and enjoyed the snap shooting aspect of it, so this should be good.

Intending to do the dec competition shoot using what I learn and hoping can get a few on target! Just bought waterproofs planning ahead for then ;)

  2. After shooting for a few years taken the plunge and booked the CSR skills dev course at Bisley in Nov.

Anyone got any hints beyond what is on CSR website - thankfully have decent waterproof boots and suitable clothing to do it (kneepads in combats etc).

Using a 20" ar15, made by mark bradley with 2-10x32 scope which should be suitable.

Have a campervan so can get down there the night before and get a good sleep rather than driving down at stupid o'clock!

Don't suppose anyone else from here is going?

  3. Had this on my gen1 Ruger Precision 6.5 Creedmoor, took off when put it up for sale (in RFD in Chelmsford if anyone is interested...!).

Will fit any of the short action Ruger Precisions (6.5Cm and .308), replaces the plastic or steel bolt shroud with something better engineered.

This is the one that Anarchy Outdoors in the US sell, so hard to get in Europe

  4. Picked up a mint AX 308 last week and took it out for a first go on Sunday. Wow... spoils you for any other rifle in the future (have two tactical remington 700 builds in MDT chassis but no comparison). Recoil is straight back and controlled with the brake (will get down to sporting services to get the ATAC Marksman mod as have a slot, just lack of time and spare cash this month!).

Dropped my gen 1 razor onto it from my Ruger Precision and although not as good as a NF or S&B still damm clear, just missing a christmas tree reticule! Could see hits onto the target at 100M clearly.

  5. Selling my Gen 1 Ruger Precision Rifle (Samson Keymod Handguard) In 6.5 creedmoor calibre as have now acquired an Accuracy International so no longer required.

Owned about 5 years, total round count c.1000 max (had c.500 when I bought it and put the same or slightly less down it). Shoots just under 1 MOA (using 140 grain HPBT Hornady handloads, taken it out to 800 yards and if doing job right will get into the black without too much effort! Some slight cosmetic scuffs but no major knocks.

Bolt originally had the plastic end shroud, replaced with the Anarchy Outdoors titanium one for both looks and better capability. Still have the plastic shroud which I will inclide.

Comes with muzzle break (Badger Ordanance FTE) and two Magpul mags (10 and 20 round). Has picatinny rail with sling stud installed for harris bipod or picatinny bipod. Sling QD on left hand side of handguard, 3D printed improved mag release. Have original box as well

Prefer Face to Face, based in North East Essex / Suffolk Borders. Can do RFD transfer if needed but need to speak to them as changed ownership.

Looking for £1150, cheapest in guntrader etc is £1200 so being reasonable.

  6. Have surplus to requirements (bought a Magpul PRS lite stock!) a Magpul CTR stock and the matching railed vertical grip (Picatinny fitting) in the hard to find Dark Grey. Hard to show in the pictures but subtle change to normal black.

Bought them in the USA pre-Covid and never really used them - put them onto a rifle to shoot once, but instead used a BCM Stock.

Am in NE Essex if people wanted to collect, or else posted 2nd class

Looking for £65 posted for the Pair, stock new is £70 and grip £30.
