  1. I have had a !7 Fireball and now have a 17 Hornet.  Fireballs were always few and far between and now Brass is an issue.  If you want a 17 get a Hornet then you won't have any ammunition problems, not as potent as the Fireball but still very capable.  I sold my Fireball and regretted it so bought a 17 Hornet and it does what I want, shortish range Foxes and longer range Crows.

It's still doing the job but the barrel is now coming to the end of it's life it still shoots one whole groups with your load data as long as the barrel is cold so I'm gonna have to start looking round for a new barrel did you say you got it from brook and Norris I can't remember?

No it was done by Neil McKillop, he did two I believe one for himself and yours.  It came in a standard A1 Sako wooden stock which I sold and replaced with the McMillan.

I've replaced my 22lr with a FAC FX M3 for the very reason mentioned above by spanner! I've had my far share of over the years! Just changing the subject for a minute spanner trying to remember was it you that I purchase the 17 fireball from?

Yes it was, lovely rifle never worked out why I sold it since it went!!  I now have an HW66 17 Hornet.

  4. I got this SH but as new just before Covid and have used it three times, it is absolutely as new and has the extra battery compartment so it can run off CR123 or 18650 batteries. I have got out of the habit of going out at night so this is just sat in a cupboard, I haven't been out since Covid lockdown. I have 3 Rusan adaptors for it for 44mm, 50mm & 56mm objective scopes and they are rock soild. Works on any scope very well, it is cased. Pics by WhatsApp.

£1000 collected or will post at cost.

Can’t see much for all the crops but Cubs should be up and about above ground by now then left to fend for themselves by august or September. Caught a fully grown one a few weeks back bringing food back but didn’t find where to . Trail cam just gets set of by the growing twigs etc .

Thx I have shot a lot for him over the years and the biggest issue is with Cubs, they have no fear and are totally unpredictable. as to what time of day they turn up.
