It does sit quite a bit lower compared to standard. Most people who’ve shot it have noticed a positive difference.

The take home message for most I would imagine would be.... would I sell my existing AI to get an AT-X. No. If I didn’t own one, but wanted one.... would I choose the AT-X over others, quite possibly.

or just add a hammer rail to your AX, that gets your arca as close to the bore line.. its definitely a move in the right direction for AI and definitely better than the chunky arca rails that are being offered as retro fit

  2. I don’t undeestand the comments about the barrel and action being lower in the chassis? The distance between the c/l of bore and the underside of the arca rail doesn’t look any less than other chassis’ provide. Or are they comparing it to older AI’s?? Does this really matter when you rest it on a big fat bag anyway? Care to explain please? Or is the shoulder/recoil pad just higher?

I’ve been using ARC mags for 6.5 CM and 7-08. Only issues I’ve had are long rounds getting pushed forward and tips dragging on the mag wall. A simple nudge back with a finger and feeding resumes. Sourced from Paddy Dane in the UK.

Be careful with these mags, my borden alpine feed ramp protruded over the mag edge and the tips got caught. That was in an AICS AX and using tier one bottom metal. Standard AICS with the spacer work 100% fine

How are you getting on with your brake? Is it still "locked" in place?
    Cheers.

Yep, its now set up for that rifle and goes on and off perfectly and 100% repeatable. Stuck 100 rounds down it with the RMPRA last week, no problems. Rifle now cleaned and ready  for next outing, brake will go back on 100% the same.

dont know if i’ll ever get to be able to adjust it again, i guess that will be the problem of the next rebareller, whoever that may be....
